Quantity Surveyor β Energy Solutions (Cost Control Division)
Role Summary:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of energy transition projects. You will oversee cost estimation, value engineering, and contract management to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and in compliance with the clientβs requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for energy transition projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.
- Perform value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Assist in the preparation and review of contracts and procurement documents.
- Provide regular reports on project financial status to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management.
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and financial management tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with measurement software like Bluebeam or ArchiCAD
- Knowledge of aspects such would be desirable such as Sustainability and Environmental Regulations: Familiarity with European Green Deal policies, building energy efficiency standards (e.g., EPC in the UK), and sustainability certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED).
- Contract Law & Construction Claims: Experience with JCT, NEC, FIDIC, or other regionally relevant contract forms, including dispute resolution and claims management.
- Familiarity with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) standard for cost management, particularly in the context of energy transition projects, to ensure compliance with professional and industry standards.
